Going Out Of Business Sale
This year alone Macys and Sears has been closing stores. JcPenny announce just yesterday (February 24, 2017) they were closing 140 stores, thats more for a later blog. The same day, February 24, 2017 Family Christian Bookstores annouced they are closing all 240 stores. According to online sources, Family Christian Bookstores filled for Bankruptcy protection back in 2015. They were not aware of having to close the stores till just yesterday. The company said in an email from USA Today that after 85 years of being open, the banks annouced that they had no choice but to either sell the business or close all 240 stores. In which they had started as of February 25.
Family Christian Bookstore website already has an ad (just like Sports Authority, Fresh & Easy did during there closings) stating all stores are closing and what percentage is going right now.
I will try to make it down to my local Family Bookstore to capture some pictures but for now stay tune for another Blog on Retail Closing.
