Lets head down to Ohio and check out one of the last Super Centers Kmart ever had. This super center in located in a town outside of Cleveland called Mentor. The 234,000 sq. feet store itself opened in 1994 with 200 employees. Throughout the years employees started to leave the store which brought that 200 to 50. In 2015, Meijer stores brought the 23-acre store which at that time was now being leased out to Kmart. Five days ago Kmart told Meijer CEO that they were not going to renew the lease in December and rather just closed its last super center ever built from ground up. Thats when Meijer told the public that Once the store closes construction crews will act quickly that same day to raze the building to the ground. 

Today (September 25, 2016) marked the first day of the closing sale with everything 10% off. Lets take a look at the store:

Lets travel to a Former Big Kmart that opened in 1990. When the store first opened I heard the store received tons of business. But when 2008 hit, the shopping center where Kmart is started to be abandon with Rite-aid to be the first to leave. The Center started to struggle when that happen, but Kmart didn't stop there. They had plans to remodel the store. The new changes announced that the store would be losing its Big Signature. After the remodel was completed in 2009 the store was already showing signs of closing due to Walmart opening up a Neighborhood Market down the street on Craig. But that still didn't stop the store from closing. As its still open in 2016 and hopefully will still continue to stay open in 2017.

The store just seems like it could had featured a Super K but thats just me.

Looking from the Back Left of the store. The Red wall straight to the front is where the christmas stuff was going, I also believe where an old entrance used to be. (The back of the store was darker then the front.)

That is it. This store was dead when I went. I only go here to pick up my prescription due to the pharmacist is really helpful and very kind.
